Sunrise Telecom Case Study:  SLA and Performance Monitoring
To rapidly determine the root cause of decreasing QoS for its signaling traffic, a German subsidiary of a Tier 1 operator headquartered in Spain evolved its core network toward NGN. The troubleshooting tool was a specific "sniffer" provided by Cisco, but it was evolved by Sunrise Telecom using the SLA Management Handbook. A CDR-based probe server monitoring system was developed based on its TAMS 7-VoIP.

Wipro Case Study:  Building an NGOSS based IT Impact Assessment Analysis Framework
Roll-out of new product variants take as much as 4-6 months, but TM Forum artifacts such as the Business Process Framework, Information Model and Applications Framework helped the Wipro Telecom consulting practice to build an IT Impact Assessment Analysis framework that linked a service provider's processes and functional capabilities. We will look at how the company reduced IT assessment time to just one-fifth of the original time.

A re-architecting of the OSS stack to support burgeoning mobile networks was undertaken to reduce time-to-market and improve QoS. This session will detail how NGOSS and its Information Framework (SID) helped in the project, as well as how Chunghwa developed an EAI bus based on the TNA Architecture Framework to de-coupled architecture components for trans-generation networks.

BCN Case Study:  Aligning the Organization with eTOM

A Chilean mobile operator with more than 5.5 million mobile customers needed to develop a yearly action plan and annual budget based on strategic objectives and alignment of the whole organization. BCN developed a methodology using the Business Process Framework (eTOM) to fix the fundamentals of the planning process and to align the operator's executive team.

The aim is to establish a collaborative team between members of The TM Forum and members of The Open Group to identify synergies and opportunities for further development between NGOSS as a set of architecture frameworks and TOGAF as a method for undertaking Enterprise Architecture.
