University Liaison Program

Welcome to the Home Page of the University Liaison Program.

The ULP exists to promote interaction between Universities and other Centres of Further Education and our industry.

The telecoms industry relies on academia not only for a supply of high quality graduates, but also for research and innovation. By encouraging early interaction between industry and academia, we will be able to:

  • Encourage more students to take courses relevant to our industry
  • Encourage institutes of learning to provide these courses
  • Ensure that students and teachers are aware of how the Forum is leading development and thinking in the fields of OSS and BSS
  • Provide relevant work experience
  • Provide a vehicle whereby industry can sponsor research and development

Participation in the Program is encouraged, not only from our academic membership but from every Forum member.

In particular we encourage people who may not normally see the Forum as being directly relevant to their daily job – HR, graduate recruitment, research, to become involved.

So take a look these pages and get involved, feedback, comments, queries and subject matter for inclusion are all welcome.

 About the University Liaison Program
We are very aware in the TM Forum that the next generation of our membership are currently students and that much of the innovation that will eventually lead the direction of our industry is being developed in Universities and other centres of further education.

Students / Universities need information and work, and businesses need a fresh crop of qualified graduates each year. Consequently the University Liaison program seeks to facilitate this interdependency.

The TM Forum University Liaison Program comprises TM Forum members, commercial and academic, and has been created to encourage and promote this interaction.
