    Service Activation Bench Marking

    hello,
We have developed a service provisioning/service activation software. Now I have to bench mark our software performance.
we have not any in-house developed software tool that can benchmark our product.I used the given below technique to test our software performance

    -Network : Private LAN
    -Nodes :
            Node 1-
OS :Solaris 10 (intel) 32 bit
            DB :Oracle 10gR2
I install our Service Activation software and associated database on that machine.

            Node 2-
OS :Solaris 10 (intel) 32 bit
            Java:JDK 1.5
I setup our network simulator and bulk loading mechanism on that machine.

Now I execute software and compile results(Total time to complete 1 Activation Order) on the basis of
Total time to complete 1 Activation Order= (Last AO acknowledge time - First AO receipt time) / Total no of AO
    *AO=Activation Order

I tried to find some useful information not only from TMFourms but also from web but failed to get any bench marking mechanism for Activation Order software.

I want your kind help on
1-The setup I used as Node1 and Node2 is ok as realtime or I have to install all the modules on a single machine?

Kindly guide if Any weblink, template or bench making technique for service activation exist.

    regards,
    tanveer
