There are cases when an instance of a ProductSpecCharacteristic and/or a ProductSpecCharacteristicValue must be translated to a corresponding ResourceCharacteristic and/or a ResourceSpecCharacteristicValue. For example, there may be a ProductSpecCharacteristic that represents the color provided as defined by associated Brilliant and Dark instances of ProductSpecCharacteristicValues. Each of these values may be translated into real colors as defined by ResourceSpecCharacteristicValues such as Withe and Black.<br/>The following Figure shows the associations between characteristics in the Product and Resource domains that enable this translation.  Similar translations can be made between characteristics in the Service and Resource domains.<br/>
