Support for charging is shown in Figure below. A new association added to Component Product Price that indicates that the price was based on one or more characteristic values.  The CharacteristicValue entity in the figure is shown describing RootEntity.  But, any entity that does not inherit from RootEntity, such as Product, could be related to CharacteristicValue.  An Object diagram follows to show an example. <br/>
