One area of the model that was preliminarily investigated was how characteristics and other performance indicators can be used in the calculation of a value for a PerformanceIndicator. Following Figure shows that a PerformanceIndicator can many derivation parameters. One parameter may be defined by a CharacteristicSpecification; another may be defined by a PerformanceIndicatorSpecification.  Additional analysis is needed to fully define this part of the model.<br/>
