SK Telecom, a member of the SK Group chaebol, is the #1 wireless communication services provider in South Korea in terms of subscribers. The company serves more than 27 million mobile customers (50% of the domestic market share). In addition to cellular and wireless data services, SK Telecom provides broadband Internet access through a controlling stake in the #2 South Korean alternative local-exchange carrier and ISP SK Broadband. It also offers mobile satellite video broadcasting (TU Media); and it operates Internet portal NATE.com. SK Telecom has international offices in Beijing, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, London, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo. SK Group owns a quarter of the company.
