Although still very proximate to its Belgian base, Proximus (formerly Belgacom) wants to get closer to other markets for telecommunications services. The largest telecom company in Belgium, it offers traditional fixed-line, mobile, and Internet services, including TV, to consumers and businesses in the Benelux region: Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Proximus' mobile brands, Proximus (Belgium) and Tango (Luxembourg), provide wireless telecom services to more than 5.4 million subscribers. It offers a range of corporate information technology services through its Telindus subsidiary. The company also offers wholesale service to other telecom service providers. The company formally changed its named to Proximus in June 2015.
