HfTL is a private university under the patronage of the HfTL Trägergesellschaft mbH – a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG that is recognized by the Ministry of Science and Art of Saxony. HfTL specializes in academic teaching and research in the field of information and communications technologies (ICT). It currently has over 1000 students on its full-time and part-time Bachelor degree programs in - Communications Engineering, - Communications and Information Technology, - Business Information Systems, as well as Master degree programs in - Information and Communications Technology (ICT), - Business Information Systems.
