Today, traditional business assurance solutions for revenue assurance and fraud management are not able to support the dynamism and complexity of the digital eco-business. Business Assurance has to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and open API’s in order to support the digital service provider’s business goals in terms of revenue and customer experience.
This Catalyst demonstrates how digital service providers can apply AI, machine learning and API-based revenue assurance, credit management and fraud management to effectively protect digital business. The project also contributes to innovative industry concepts and practices while illustrating how these implementations ensure trust and optimize customer and partner experience, thereby protecting the digital ecosystem.
The Catalyst team includes the following Digital Service Providers – British Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, Croatian Telekom and Orange as champions defining and validating the solutions developed by participants vendors – Amdocs, Bulb Technologies, FICO and IBM.
The team will develop and demonstrate two use cases: Financial risk scoring through open API and direct carrier billing (billing on behalf of). Both use cases use TM Forum assets and demonstrate the use of AI, ML and open APIs to improve DSP customer experience and revenue.

This Catalyst demonstrates an innovative approach to business assurance, revenue assurance and fraud management by leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning and BDA technologies to enable digital transformation services such as Smart Homes and Cities, while reducing DSPs financial risks and protecting their revenue.

Phase I
The objective of the first phase of the Catalyst was to enable and support the process of company digital transformation to ensure that the business goals of customer satisfaction and revenue are achieved. This involves adapting RA & FM operations to the latest technologies including AI, ML and BDA. The objective was to help better detect and prevent revenue leakages and to ensure customers experience.
