Managing Directors Mike Treacher and Tim Banham to Join TM Forum’s Senior Leadership Team; Jenifer Cistola to Lead Customer Centricity & Analytics Strategic Program
MORRISTOWN, NJ—August 22, 2016—TM Forum, the global industry association for digital business, today announced the appointment of two industry leaders to its senior leadership team: Mike Treacher as managing director of events and publications and Tim Banham as managing director of member engagement and sales. Industry expert Jenifer Cistola also joins the Forum to lead strategic collaborative programs on omni-channel customer experience and data analytics.
TM Forum’s member-driven collaboration programs result in the rapid co-creation and development of innovative, commercially viable prototypes of new digital services and business models. The addition of these experienced industry leaders will be instrumental in helping the Forum to achieve its vision of driving the next wave of business growth – the digitalization of every industry – by providing the collaborative innovation platform that connects talented individuals, businesses, industries, and ecosystems.
To help capitalize on this vision, Mike Treacher will be tasked with driving the operation of the Forum’s flagship events, including the TM Forum Live! series. As the Forum continues to build on its momentum into new industries and regions, including the Asian market, Tim Banham will be responsible for overseeing overall engagement and sales strategy, and leading the team to increase value to existing and new members alike.
Mike has worked in international B2B events for nearly 25 years, including both commercial event companies as well as association owned or supported events. Prior to joining TM Forum, Mike worked with the GSMA for the last 10 years playing a key role in the growth of the renowned Mobile World Congress Barcelona, and more recently, launching the Mobile 360 series. In a new position on the Forum’s senior leadership team, Mike will be charged with building on the recent growth of the Forum’s events, particularly the TM Forum Live! events that take place in Nice, France and Singapore each year.
Tim Banham’s extensive sales, sales management and P&L management experience is rooted within the telecoms and technology space. Prior to joining TM Forum, Tim spent 11 years with Informa Telecoms & Media leading the strategy and digital transition of the media businesses, successfully migrating print orientated businesses to digital, launching significant new revenue streams and building highly effective client solutions. Tim also served as a European board member for the BPA Worldwide auditing body. Tim will be assuming the responsibilities of Monte Hong, who will be staying on with the Forum to support critical growth initiatives.
Jenifer Cistola joins TM Forum as the new vice president of customer centricity and analytics. In this role, she will be driving collaborative work for the next generation of best practices in these areas, building on the Forum’s extensive work in customer experience management, data analytics and more recent pioneering work in omni-channel. Jenifer was previously senior vice president of business technologies at CableLabs, where she led a series of important programs for the cable industry and introduced TM Forum Frameworx to this industry. Prior to her experience at CableLabs, Jenifer was the vice president of product marketing at Scientific Atlanta.
Jenifer follows in the footsteps of Rebecca Sendel, who successfully led TM Forum’s customer centricity and big data analytics industry collaborative work. Rebecca has been promoted to vice president of services and Catalysts and will lead the Forum’s prestigious and growing Catalyst program as well as the internationally recognized training, certification and Frameworx™ conformance programs.
“We are delighted to welcome Mike, Tim, and Jenifer to the TM Forum team, and to congratulate Rebecca on her years of successful service to the Forum and our members,” said Peter Sany, president and CEO, TM Forum. “Their expertise, experience and industry thought leadership will be significant assets to the Forum as we pursue our own strategic goals of creating new engagement opportunities for our members, growing our presence globally, and above all, establishing our position as a trusted leader in digital business.”
