Seven Catalyst projects showcase power of collaboration and its impact on application of new technologies and validation of emerging standards
Digital Transformation World Series, London, UK — November 12, 2020 — On the last day of Digital Transformation World Series, TM Forum, the industry association driving digital transformation through collaboration, recognized the dedication and hard work of its members by naming seven Catalyst proof-of-concept projects as Outstanding Catalysts for their significant contributions to the acceleration of digital transformation throughout the industry.
2020 Outstanding Catalysts
The Forum and a panel of 23 independent judges selected seven Catalysts from 32 projects showcased during Digital Transformation World Series from October 7 – November 12.
With 152 global communications service providers, software vendors and systems integrators from six continents participating, this year’s 32 Catalysts represent the power of TM Forum’s collaboration community. Projects spanned 5G, AI, autonomous networks, customer experience, digital health, multi-access edge computing, green telco, smart cities and more.
By accelerating R&D through a structured agile collaborative process, Catalyst projects prove the application of new technologies and validate emerging standards. Outstanding Catalyst – Business Impact: Digital Business Marketplace
This Catalyst project explores how companies in traditional industries can be digitally transformed by digitizing their products, services, and supply chain.

Best New Catalyst in Show: Trusted Data-Sharing for Smart Emergency Management (Covid-19)
This Catalyst demonstrates how the integration of telco data and other public data via a trust-based data platform can help cities foster better collaboration and a speedier, coordinated response in emergencies such as Covid-19.

Outstanding Use of TM Forum Assets: The Dynamic Architecture
This Catalyst dynamically federates service definitions so services of any type may be productized, sold, ordered, activated, self-managed and assured using a visual catalog experience enabled by using TM Forum Open APIs.

Outstanding Catalyst Communications: Time Crunching 5G RAN Rollout with AI
This Catalyst demonstrates end-to-end digitalization of mobile network roll-out processes to optimize and accelerate deployment and return on investment.

Outstanding Ecosystem Design with CurateFx: 5G Ride On!
This Catalyst uses autonomous network capabilities and edge computing technologies to support business continuity solutions for the electric vehicle charging infrastructure ecosystem.

Outstanding Catalyst – Impact for Society: 5G Greener Telco
This Catalyst demonstrates a smart energy-saving network which provides a stable customer experience for subscribers, lowers power consumption for telco operators and reduces the overall climate impact of the telecoms industry.
