Partnership Brings QuEST Forum’s Established Benchmarking Practices to Provide Digital Transformation, Customer Centricity and Smart Cities Benchmarking Services for TM Forum Members
NASHVILLE, TN—September 13, 2016—TM Forum, the global industry association for digital business, today announced a new strategic alliance with QuEST Forum, an established industry association focused on improving the quality and sustainability of products and services in the ICT industry. The partnership brings together the organizations’ skills and resources to deliver new capabilities for members of both groups, with the ultimate goal of accelerating digital business transformation for communications service providers and technology suppliers across the globe.
As the creators of the renowned TL 9000 quality management system, with strong capabilities in performance benchmarking, QuEST Forum brings new capabilities to TM Forum, adding to its deep, member-driven collaboration programs focused on IT operations and management, customer experience, digital services interoperability and monetization, and more. QuEST Forum’s recently launched sustainability framework will also allow TM Forum to grow its expertise and knowledge in sustainability, which is closely related to TM Forum’s focus on emerging growth sectors such as Smart Cities.
Through the partnership, QuEST Forum will extend its benchmarking services to TM Forum’s more than 900 member companies, with the organizations combining their expertise to focus on accelerating digital business transformation.
“We are delighted to take our friendship with QuEST Forum to the next stage, bringing new capabilities to our members,” said Peter Sany, president and CEO, TM Forum. “In today’s fragmented markets and rapidly emerging digital ecosystems, it’s crucial for industry organizations to collaborate closely to help our members to transform as individual businesses, and as a collective industry. This partnership will allow us to offer proven and robust benchmarking capabilities to our members, complementing our existing strategic programs, independent maturity assessments and related services.”
To launch the strategic alliance, TM Forum is co-hosting QuEST Forum’s Service Providers Summit 2016, taking place in Nashville, September 12-14. TM Forum’s VP of Collaboration R&D, Ken Dilbeck, will give a keynote speech on network functions virtualization (NFV) metrics, and moderating a TM Forum-hosted executive panel discussion.
“This partnership enables both parties to benefit from each other’s strategic competencies and builds on our existing collaboration in NFV and benchmarking support for TM Forum’s Smart City and Customer Centricity initiatives,” said Fraser Pajak, CEO, QuEST Forum. “Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are playing an increasingly important role in all we do as businesses and individuals. One could say ICT services have become like oxygen, essential and expected to be high quality. There is simply too much at stake not to collaborate for the betterment of our memberships. By working more closely with TM Forum, we believe that we can increase our impact as we help the industry move forward in a virtualized, complex and exciting new reality.”
