Five Individuals Honored for their Dedication to TM Forum’s Collaborative R&D Programs
MORRISTOWN, NJ—February 3, 2016—TM Forum, the global industry association for digital business, today announced that five individuals have been honored with its Outstanding Contributor Award. Now in its 18th year, TM Forum’s Outstanding Contributor Award recognizes members who have contributed significantly to the Forum’s Collaborative R&D efforts to drive digital business excellence, best practices and standards.
Presented by the Forum’s Strategy Committee, this award honors individuals who go the extra mile in the excellence and value they add to the Forum’s Collaboration projects. These projects, which bring together diverse members from around the world, are a unique platform for sharing knowledge and collaborating to continuously innovate, solve pressing challenges, and enhance industry best practices and standards. TM Forum’s newest Outstanding Contributors, which were announced today at the Forum’s bi-annual Action Week collaboration event, are:
Jean-Luc Tymen, Orange, is recognized for his active role as co-lead in the B2B2X workstream of the TM Forum’s Open Digital project. In particular, his commitment and expertise were invaluable in designing and implementing the vital Business Scenario and Partnership work that has created a standard way to express the business, technology, and market challenges that the Open Digital projects are addressing. These scenarios will become the basis for the Roadmap of Challenges library that will be used to enable our members to more effectively address the Internet of Everything (IoE) market and beyond. This is Jean-Luc’s second Outstanding Contributor recognition as a result of his continued hard work and dedication to the Forum.
Kevin McCaffrey, Tr3dent, is recognized for his key role as co-lead in the B2B2X workstream of the TM Forum’s Open Digital project. Working hand-in-hand with Jean Luc, Kevin too has been one of the main drivers, designers and implementers of the vital Business Scenario and Partnership work. This is the second Outstanding Contributor recognition for Kevin, who has been a consistent supporter and evangelist of the Forum.
Jörg Niemöller, Ericsson, has led a strong effort in the Customer Experience Management (CEM) project to update and redefine the context and scope of key customer objects, including SmartX objects which consume services and contribute to a customer’s experience. Jörg has led the redefinition of the Experience Lifecycle Model, enriching it with the need for analytics to gain knowledge and insights into customers. He has also been instrumental in putting the customer at the center of all processes and actions in a CEM journey rather than taking an organization-centric view.
Washington Tavares, Tacira Technologies, has grown the Smart City project work from concept to implementation over the past 18 months and has been the lead innovator in applying Frameworx and Open Digital assets to the Smart City sector. He has evangelized the Smart City work and has given extremely insightful presentations at a number of Smart City events.
Fabien Venries, Orange, has been the driver and leader of TM Forum’s Privacy project for the last 18 months. His leadership and enthusiasm have driven the creation of a number of significant deliverables from the project. He has worked closely with and contributed to Frameworx, APIs and a number of IoT catalysts, resulting in the first successful demonstration of the Privacy Dashboard at the TM Forum Catalyst InFocus event in Dallas in December 2015.
“The recent success we’ve seen with TM Forum’s Collaboration projects could not have been achieved without the dedicated efforts of these five individuals,” said Nik Willetts, Deputy CEO and Chief Digital Officer, TM Forum. “Through their leadership, our Collaborative R&D Programs are reaching new heights – from the Internet of Everything to Smart Cities and NFV, our members have even greater opportunity to understand and develop solutions to core digital business challenges. Congratulations to each of our Outstanding Contributors, and thank you for your commitment to the Forum and all of our members.”
