Three Individuals Spotlighted for their Dedication to TM Forum’s Collaborative R&D Programs
MORRISTOWN, NJ — July 28, 2015: TM Forum, the global industry association for digital business, today announced that three individuals have been honored with its Outstanding Contributor Award. Now in its 17th year, TM Forum’s Outstanding Contributor Award recognizes members who have contributed significantly to the Forum’s Collaborative R&D efforts to drive digital business excellence, best practices and standards.
Presented by the Forum’s Strategy and Adoption Subcommittee, this award honors individuals who go above and beyond to contribute significantly to the Forum’s Collaboration community, which brings together diverse members from around the world to share knowledge and collaborate to continuously innovate, solve pressing challenges, and enhance industry best practices and standards. TM Forum’s newest Outstanding Contributors, which were announced last week at the Forum’s bi-annual Action Week collaboration event, are:
Jean-Marie Calmel, Oracle – An active participant in TM Forum’s ZOOM (Zero-touch Orchestration, Operations and Management) program, Jean-Marie made his mark in Frameworx 14.5 by proposing a pragmatic solution to integrate the Information Framework with the needs of the ETSI NFV MANO work. In Frameworx 15, Jean-Marie transformed this work into a fully integrated extension to support NFV, resulting in a critical and unique TM Forum asset for end-to-end NFV management.
Kaj Jonasson, Ericsson – Kaj has been instrumental in forwarding the Application Framework Functional Model to its current state, serving both as its editor and a primary contributor responsible for a significant percentage of its content. Kaj has been active in all three frameworks, while also attending events and participating on calls.
Johan Vandenberghe, Alcatel-Lucent – The new generation of the DSRA (Digital Services Reference Architecture) and related documents would not exist today without Johan’s leadership, perseverance and many hours of team and individual work. Johan received an outstanding contributor award in 2011 and has consistently worked beyond the call of duty as a team lead ever since.
“Congratulations to this year’s Outstanding Contributors. These champions of TM Forum’s Collaborative R&D work have exemplified what it takes to drive digital business transformation and set the stage for our members’ success in today’s increasingly interconnected ecosystems,” said Nik Willetts, Deputy CEO, TM Forum. “With their leadership and dedication to the Collaboration community, we’ve harnessed the industry’s collective expertise to overcome top business and technology challenges with pragmatic solutions and evolving standards and best practices.”
