Five TM Forum members chosen for their dedication and leadership in the Forum’s unique Collaboration Program; latest additions to distinguished list announced at Action Week in Madrid, Spain
ACTION WEEK, MADRID, SPAIN —Feb. 12, 2014: TM Forum announced today that five new individuals have been named as Outstanding Contributors at the Forum’s Action Week in Madrid, Spain. Now in its sixteenth year, TM Forum’s Outstanding Contributor Awards recognize communications and digital service leaders who demonstrate commitment to the future of the industry through work in TM Forum’s Collaboration program which provides expertise, requirements and perspective to help define TM Forum’s Frameworx suite of best practices and standards.
The Outstanding Contributors announced Action Week in Madrid are:
Mike Carpenter, vice president, TOA Technologies
Carpenter leads the Cyber Security Working Group within the Forum and contributes to digital health and smart energy projects. His latest work helped deliver a Cyber Security Readiness Dashboard which is a framework for effectively communicating cyber readiness in near-real time.
Wei Dong, founder and principal consultant, Big Data Works
Wei Dong of Big Data Works, a U.S.-based big data analytics strategy and technical consulting firm, has been co-leading the Big Data Analytics Solution Suite work since 2012. In this role, he co-authored the Big Data Analytics Guidebook, defining big data analytics use cases and reference models. He also delivered major content to the Big Data Analytics Workshop at TM Forum’s Big Data InFocus event in January, and is a major contributor to a Big Data Analytics Catalyst project that will debut at TM Forum Live!, June 2-5, in Nice, France. Prior to co-leading Big Data Analytics team, Wei was the lead in work on customer experience management metrics.
Jerome Hannebelle, community lead, Orange Software Experts, Orange
Hannebelle led the contribution of the Overview of Orange SOA program, representing 640 hours of work which has been used by the Forum’s Business Service and Frameworx Architecture teams. He also contributed “Printer Service Anatomy, an Example,” aimed at clarifying business service concepts and representing 400 hours of work. He has been working in the digital services API area and participated in the development of the service level agreement management and trouble ticket APIs, providing both small and medium enterprise and technical expertise.
Mick Kerrigan, Ph.D., product manager and principal big data analytics strategist, Amdocs
Kerrigan acted as co-lead for the creation of the Big Data Analytics Solution Suite. He also delivered major content to the big data analytics workshop at Big Data InFocus. Finally, he is a major contributor to a big data analytics Catalyst project that will debut at TM Forum Live!
Anders Viden, vice president, product management, BaseN
Viden has built a value proposition for TM Forum and smart grid resulting in two new utility stakeholder members, and also delivered an award-winning Catalyst project, “Smart Grid – Empowering the Digital Customer,” at TM Forum’s Digital Disruption 2013 event in San Jose, Calif. He also was instrumental in driving a new Internet of Things/Industrial Internet/M2M interest group within the Forum.

TM Forum announced the Outstanding Contributors at Action Week, held Feb. 10-14 in Madrid, Spain, at the NH Hotel Eurobuilding during a ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the afternoon. Presented by Laurent Leboucher, vice president APIs and digital ecosystems, Orange, and chairman of TM Forum’s Strategy and Adoption Subcommittee, the award distinguishes individuals who go above and beyond to contribute significantly to the work done in TM Forum’s collaboration community.
TM Forum’s Outstanding Contributors are nominated and selected by TM Forum’s executive team and Collaboration program leadership, and announced at TM Forum’s Action Week events twice per year. Hosted by the TM Forum Collaboration Program, Action Week is a members-only, interactive event where industry thought leaders come together to share ideas, challenge conventional thinking and define the best practices to tackle today’s business issues.
