Son of founder Keith Willetts confirmed as CEO of TM Forum at start of Nice conference
The TM Forum has appointed Nik Willetts as CEO, after six months as acting CEO. Willetts took over from Peter Sany, who left in November 2016 “for personal reasons”. The organisation – which today began its annual TM Forum Live conference in Nice – said at the time that Willetts would be interim CEO and it would “identify and appoint a successor as quickly as possible based on the ongoing leadership needs of the organization”. David Pleasance, the TM Forum’s board chairman, said: “Under Nik’s leadership, the forum has been focused on bringing proven and practical agile collaboration techniques, frameworks, toolkits and best practices to bear for our members, enabling them to innovate and grow during this time of monumental change in our industry.” Willetts is son of Keith Willetts, who founded the TM Forum and led it for many years until Sany took over in March 2015. He was earlier the CMO of the TM Forum. Pleasance said: “I am personally excited to be working closely with Nik to advance an ambitious agenda of providing even greater commercial value for our members in the future and I welcome him to his challenging new leadership role.”
