GB921 eTOM Addenda File Pack R13.0 (Single sign-on)

OSS Operators (Service Provider employees responsible for managing the Service Provider’s networks) are usually forced to get authenticated separately for every single network management system and application they want to access. Equally, they typically need to sign off from each network management system and application independently. These Multi Sign-On/Off mechanisms are not only expensive for Service Providers and cumbersome for OSS Operators but also prone to security risks. The Single Sign-On/Off (SSO) activities of TM Forum’s Enterprise Identity Management (EIM) team aim at resolving or at least mitigating this business problem through standardization of open standards based OSS Single Sign-On/Off systems and interfaces.

TIP_SSO_IA, the document at hand, is the TM Forum information agreement on OSS SSO. It establishes an OSS SSO functional architecture and its interfaces, imposes requirements on these interfaces, and models the information transferred over them to achieve the desired SSO functionalities.
