IG1171 ODA Component Definition R18.5.1

This document describes reasons for defining an ODA Component, which stems from the need for an agile approach that encompass business needs, network structure and operational challenges.

It then describes the structure of a component, it’s sub parts and their functionality as well as suggesting ways of exposing the functionalities. The document also addresses the lifecycle of the component and it’s composability aspects.

Another section is devoted to the relationship of the components to the existing Frameworx, including Open APIs.

Subsequent releases are expected to materially enhance the connection to digital business, the use of a component on existing industry platforms, compose scenarios and examples.
