IG1190 AIOps Service Management R19.0.1

IG1190 – There’s no longer any doubt that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will transform CSPs’ networks, IT and service operations. In order to face the challenges created by a large deployment of AI models that will eventually run in CSPs’ operations, service management processes shall be revisited and adapted to manage the new AI-driven operational and business scenario. In this document, we take a step in this complex service management transformation, focused in particular on how to prepare the Deployment stage of the lifecycle to manage AI models at scale. The next step of this work is the analysis of the other stages of the lifecycle that will be part of future deliverables of this program.  This paper represents the initial step, whereas, the end goal of our journey is to transform traditional service management practices into what we call AIOps Service Management. The processes in AIOps will be properly re-engineered and adapted in order to support effectively the management of AI models across their lifecycle.
