This information model is designed to meet a set of requirements for the management of “GOAL”, as a set of information to describe the ambition or effort/aim of a desired resut in information system. GOAL as a modeled concept, provides a good starting point to set an outcome for a process realized as an activity, workflow, closedloop or a combination of these.
The elements of a GOAL model that would fulfill a system’s requirements can be subsetted to create an information model in UML. Doing so helps to retain the traceability from elements in an information model to their definitions in a more precise language.
