This document outlines the normative aspects of Open Digital Architecture functional framework.  It presents the Operations Map and the Technology Integration mapping along with descriptions and high level specifications for a digital platform and digital service provider.  It represents an agreed view of a majority of the industry key stakeholders strategic and operating plan.

This document targets CTIOs, Enterprise Architects, Platform Owners, Supply Chain Managers and Business Transformation officers.  It can be used to define RFPs, refactor legacy BSS/OSS systems, as well as their management and operations.  It defines standards for mapping business and information objects in a way that addresses concerns about vendor lock-in, product innovation, multi-vendor operating environment, etc.

As the Functional Architecture for the Open Digital Architecture, it enforces the principles established in GB998 Open Digital Architecture (ODA) Concepts & Principles and set out clarity for decoupling of functions, componentization of applications, and inclusion of systems of intelligence.  Mapping to the Frameworx Business Process Framework (eTOM GB921) and Information Framework (SID GB992) are standards that capture business concerns of today, as well as new requirements that fulfill the changing dynamics of business, management and operations in a digital world.
