GB998 Open Digital Architecture (ODA) Concepts & Principles R19.0.1
- Maturity level: Level 4 - Forum Approved

Created By: Open Digital Architecture Project
The Open Digital Architecture has been recently released and is still evolving. As such, it is susceptible to different interpretations in terms of architecture and implementation.
The proposal is to create a limited set of architecture principles as general rules and guidelines. The aim is to provide a level of consensus across the industry and guide high level architecture decisions and potentially influence the suppliers’ roadmap. This will ensure that the overall architecture is consistent and can be used in a pragmatic manner towards the target architecture.
Since architecture principles reflect a level of consensus across the enterprise and embody the spirit and thinking of the enterprise, they are heavily dependent on the enterprise and architecture basic concepts, in this case the ODA concepts. While this document is primarily focused on Architecture Principles, it relies on further work on the components of the ODA architecture, which is part of an ongoing stream of work and can be found in IG1171 ODA Component Definition R18.0.0.
