IG1186 ODA Governance and Security Vision R19.0.1

This document augments IG1166 ODA Architecture Vision R18.0.0 [1] by adding the lifecycle requirements, methodology and best practices for Governance and Security that Open Digital Architecture (ODA) solutions need to address. The approach taken is to: Adapt the best practice from many organizations – in particular the Open Group and SABSA® Security additions to TOGAF – and apply them specifically to the ODA Lifecycle viewpoints described in IG1166. Focus ODA development effort on specific ODA Security needs e.g. ODA Functional Architecture and its implementation. The goal is to define an ODA Lifecycle methodology for Governance and Security such that the ODA Vision of ‘Security and Privacy by design’ is realized. Consequently, these security and governance enhancements have impacts throughout the entire ODA Lifecycle viewpoints: Business Architecture, Information Systems Architecture (ISA), Technical Architecture & Implementation, and Deployment/Runtime.
