IG1306 Zero Trust Architecture and Implications to Enterprise Security v1.0.0

Zero trust architecture should be considered as an important component of an organization’s comprehensive security strategy. It should be used in conjunction with other security measures to provide protection against a wide range of threats and to achieve specific business outcomes.

This document describes the journey one may expect when embarking with zero trust  including transformation of best of breed OSS/BSS solutions to ODA Component based solutions.   It also provides an overview of Zero Trust directions which will be elaborated in the forthcoming IG1314 Security and Privacy Impacts on ODA that  leverages prior work on ODA Security including:

Appendix A of this document is a bibliography of references covering Practices and Regulations that will impact realization of Zero Trust architectures by Service Providers. These references have informed the production of this document and the  planned series of Zero Trust ODA security documents.
