RN362 Digital Maturity Model Release Notes v4.0.2

This Release Note details the changes incorporated in Version 4.0 of the TM Forum Digital Maturity Model (DMM).

DMM version 3.0 released in January 2020. The previous DMM version that was widely used for over a year by the TM Forum and its members is version 2.0 released in December 2018, subject of numerous pilots and used by our Members. Feedback from use of the model and the accompanying tool suggested that there could be improvements made in the areas of:

• The clarity of the model – to simplify the language for non-native English speakers, for brevity and clarity
• The consistency of the model – to ensure all criteria definitions and maturity levels are clear and have a consistent language that leaves no room for ambiguity.
• The availability of a Lite version which is made up of 25 questions (one per subdimension)

In version 4.0, the model addresses these concerns and more and the revised model and tool changes are described in more detail in the following sections. The tool functionality in version 4.0 is not detailed in this document to keep focus and clarity around the changes from version 2.0.
