This document investigates the process flow evolution, with the current definition of the process flow and its lifecycle in enterprises (design /development / run/ continuous improvement), and with the evolution of process flows for operations transformation in Network Function Virtualization (NFV). It represents the articulation of business scenarios / use cases / process flows / systems / information models in an integrated schema.
In a Future Mode of Operations (FMO), the active process flow can be defined as a process capable of handling an ever-changing environment. This document analyses different concepts of active process flows as “dynamic processes, dynamic process management, intent-driven process management and processes generated by AI”. In order to support the dynamicity/plasticity of the active process, it introduces the concept of a “process component” (similar to IG1118 FMO deliverable).
Thanks to this concept, it provides a global graph of the process evolution (intent based, continuous improvement, intelligent). To illustrate these concepts, it presents two concrete examples where the graph with process components is used a collaboration model in a context of multi-actors (Value fabric), see DEVOPS/JOINT AGILE DELIVERY(IG1137A IG1137B) a self-healing fault management based on an AI closed-loop module, see IG1162.
Based on analysis of the process flow evolution, this document examines impacts on the Business Process Framework in the context of Hybrid networks, which require the evolution of certain Business Process Framework macro-activities (Knowledge management, license management…) rather than a transformation of Business Process Framework.
