IG1218E AIS Practice on Autonomous Networks v1.0.0

As the leading service provider in Thailand, Advanced Info Service (AIS) has been driving long-term value creation by optimizing core business such as Mobile business with “Less but More” & 5G leadership vision, building growth engine on both FBB and Enterprise business and investing in future with new digital business such as gaming, video, financial service, insurance and new emerging digital services. By leveraging the new technologies and relying on intelligent ICT infrastructure, AIS strives to transform from digital life service provider to a “Cognitive Tech-Co” to deliver distinctive customer experience. Adhering to the concepts of Autonomous Networks (AN), AIS sets an overall goal for the company’s network to reach level 3 by 2023 and level 4 by 2025.

In order to achieve this goal, based on TM Forum Autonomous Networks vision, architecture framework, Autonomous Networks Level (ANL) evaluation methodology and other industry standards and assets, AIS is focusing efforts across four dimensions: defining autonomous network target architectures, evaluating AN levels, implementing high-value use cases and collaborating with industrial partners. By following TM Forum AN evolution loop, AIS has completed a full circle of autonomous network implementation, which covers four major pillars: AN level evaluation, gap analysis, solution design and implementation. As a result, AN supports AIS’s Zero-touch operations as a steady basis, improves network reliability and customer experience, reduces OPEX & CAPEX and increases operation efficiency.
