TR185 Billing and Charging Machine to Machine (M2M) Challenges v1.1

The objective of the analysis is to focus on specific billing and charging related items for the purpose of exposing any
gaps in the Frameworx that could potentially need to be modified to accurately and effectively support M2M. This
technical report is not the complete list of M2M challenges, but is being published to help foster wider input and
further discussion on the topic.

In order to be successful in the M2M arena, companies will need to implement and support new business models and
application infrastructures that will both provide the ability to monetize on this rapidly growing market segment as
their traditional revenue streams stagnate.
