This Whitepaper focuses on the approaches and steps taken by Telcos to prevent Telecom frauds around the world. Telecom industries across regions are working towards establishing Quality of Trust by using various methodologies such as building new services to verify calling party credentials. This white paper briefs on various such methodologies implemented by various operators across the globe.
Communication Service Providers (CSPs) are rightly placed to take responsibility and ensure that the call traffic is routed appropriately to prevent spam/fraud communication and further their vision of providing seamless connectivity between subscribers and calling parties such as financial institutions, utility providers and more.
CSPs have a toolbox of technologies to pick from in this area for both monitoring network traffic and stopping fraudulent communication using AI/ML models. Some CSPs are also building different type of Applications to protect customers and verify “non spam and non fraud calls” by whitelisting them. Service providers can provide this as a value-added service for subscribers who are willing to be fully protected from fraud.
