The purpose of this book is to give the reader some insights into the analytics and metrics used in practice by telecommunications service providers. The book is heavily weighted towards business analytics as opposed to operational metrics. Where possible, we have tried to provide a useful description of the metrics and either a target value for the provider or an industry benchmark, range or average, based upon industry observation. The book is published as a guide for service providers as they work to determine the analytics they should be measuring.
