The “TestMeasureDefinition”, as stated previously, inherits the associations of the “MetricDefMeasure”, one of these being the association to the “MetricDefMeasureThresholdSet”. The threshold set is a collection of rules that define the condition(s) under which a threshold is considered to have been exceeded, and the associated perceived severity.
The “MetricDefMeasureConsequence” indicates the action to be taken when a threshold is exceeded. In the example of our “Frame Loss Ratio”, a threshold of 10% might be defined. When the ratio goes above this threshold, a possible consequence may be to send a “Threshold Crossing Alert” with the associated severity as defined by the threshold rule. Another possible consequence might be to change the priority of the service frames in an effort to reduce the amount of frame loss.
