Bill Calculation : Public <<TMF_AF>> Aggregated Function
The Bill Calculation Aggregate Function purpose is the preparation of the different items to be billed to the customer by the operator and trading partners (e.g. content providers).

The bill calculation usually collects, and eventually aggregates priced items that have been processed by the rating/pricing functionality and stored until the next bill calculation.
This steps will consist of assembling different kinds of priced items relevant for a same billing account and dedicated period of time – which is concerned by the invoice to produce:
• recurring fees (as the subscriptions),
• non-recurring fees (late payment penalty; product access fees),
• usage fees,
• fees coming from other systems or providers.

Complex or global tax rules, or even discounts or penalties, can be applied on these sets of fees.
For example, VAT is globally applied on the amount of usage fees related to the same classification.

Calculating discounts on volume, implies discounts are calculated when all the elements to be billed have been processed.

Bill calculation may also involve billing on behalf of other providers (bill items coming from external systems).
