The Metaverse is an emerging next-gen platform that is currently in its early stages. As web and mobile matured there was a scramble by CSPs to develop an interaction across these respective platforms. With mobile, companies are still trying to perfect the digital user experience even to this day.
Even though there has been a big digital push over the last decade, CSPs still have physical stores. They are expensive to operate overall but it is still necessary since not all issues can be resolved via the website or mobile app. Some users still want to speak with a person directly in order to resolve their issue or have trouble communicating their issue via text. The physical stores also provide opportunities for the CSP to upsell products or make users aware of services. Current digital channels do not provide that same level of upselling since users use the mobile app for limited functions.
