Bob Everson
Bob Everson is Senior Director, Provider Mobility for Cisco Systems where his responsibilities include mobile strategy, solutions development, ecosystem, and strategic partnerships. He is currently focused on advancing the Internet of Things (IoT), enhancing enterprise mobility, upgrading mobile networks and services for operators and end-users, creating a robust mobile ecosystem, and exploring the impact of AI and ML on mobile services.
His experience and contributions span diverse areas including mobile networks and applications, Internet routing, large-scale IP networks, hyperscale data centers, software-defined networking, Enterprise networks and applications, and cybersecurity. Everson helped pioneer Open Virtualized Radio Access Networks, founding the Open vRAN ecosystem in 2018, and he remains committed to ensuring success for the industry in this revolutionary transformation.
Everson is a frequent speaker at industry events, valuing diverse viewpoints to refine his thinking. He is an active member of the Board of Governors for 5G Americas, an industry trade organization established to facilitate and advocate for the advancement and transformation of 5G and beyond throughout the Americas.
Throughout his career, he has concentrated on finding the optimal intersections between innovative technologies, the broader systems they impact, and the businesses that are built on them.
