By employing Small Language Models (SLMs), we aim to enhance 5G usecases through the deployment of models that function effectively on devices with limited computational resources, such as smartphones, IoT devices, and edge servers. These models will be designed to provide real-time, context-aware services, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency. The integration of SLMs into edge devices will highlight their applicability and effectiveness in various practical scenarios. Building on the work from the previous phase, we will transition several proof-of-concept (POC) use cases into production environments in collaboration with our champion partners. These transitions will validate the models' practicality and effectiveness in real-world settings, demonstrating their readiness for large-scale deployment. The process will involve rigorous testing and optimization to ensure robustness and reliability in operational contexts. The implementation of these innovative GenAI solutions presents significant new revenue opportunities for Communication Service Providers (CSPs). By adopting and commercializing these technologies, CSPs can expand their service offerings and explore new income streams. Detailed projections and examples will be provided to illustrate how these technologies can drive financial growth and operational enhancements, reinforcing their value proposition for CSPs.
