David Sedlock is a seasoned data and business leader with strategic and hands-on operational experience in VC-funded start-ups and Fortune 10 companies. David is the Chief Data Officer (CDO), SVP Data & Analytics at Zayo Group. David has Global Data accountability at Zayo, including Data Architecture, Data Engineering / Ingestion, Business Intelligence, Data Science & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Data Governance, Policy, Data Platform, and the board-sponsored Data Management transformation program. Zayo is a multi-billion dollar global internet backbone company and the leading independent provider of light-speed data transmission infrastructure in the US and Western Europe.

Prior to Zayo, David was a founding member of AT&T's Big Data executive team, responsible for all operations functions from inception to its evolution into AT&T's Chief Data Office (CDO) organization. David delivered $1.3B of board-approved savings, with an 11x ROI per resource, for 3 consecutive years. Most recently, David led Data Governance across AT&T's 300,000 resources, where he was responsible for Data Policy, Data Quality, Data Product Management, Data Product Catalog / Inventory, and Data Technology Enablement. David also led the US's largest enhancing capital program ($13B) across 26 business units while at AT&T.

David lives in Superior, CO, with his wife, Lesley, daughter, golden retriever, and mix cat. He also has two college-aged sons who are studying engineering. He is an avid golfer and played in college at Kansas State University. David's other passion is mentoring next-generation leaders as a member of Kansas State's College of Business Executive Advisory Board.
