Intent-driven autonomous networks - Phase III

URN C23.0.563
Topics Intent-based networking, Network as a Service (NaaS), Open APIs
Winner

Providing services that keep their quality level while optimizing resource allocation and energy consumption through IDAN.

Intent APIs enable businesses to better understand the goals behind a customer's request or query and supports negotiation. By analyzing the context and meaning of a customer's interaction, intent APIs can provide more accurate and relevant responses or actions, leading to improved customer experiences and business outcomes. This Catalyst, now in Phase 3, aims to create a more comprehensive understanding of intent APIs in order to unlock the potential business benefits that can be generated using intent in autonomous networks, such as improved customer experiences and business outcomes. The team aims to assist telco operators in identifying the intent APIs that are pertinent to their business objectives and integrating them into the Catalyst. The project will also pioneer the use of intent-based automation by connecting the TMF921 Intent API and other intent APIs with non-RDF based models defined by different SDOs. The success of the project will be measured by the adoption of the Intent API.

Resources

Discover the future of network management with intent-driven autonomous networks. As Network and IT landscapes grow in complexity, so does the need for adaptive solutions. Our approach centers on intent—defining desired outcomes to be achieved by autonomous networks. But it doesn't stop at conflict resolution; these networks optimize results, ensuring the best outcomes while balancing diverse user demands. Operating autonomously, they identify and tackle conflicts across layers, ensuring seamless performance. With an assurance-first ethos, these networks prioritize requirement fulfillment and continuous monitoring, enhancing utility and satisfaction. Featuring self-adaptation, predictive digital twins, and integration across domains, embrace intent-driven networks for elevated efficiency, adaptability, and customer experiences.
