Many new innovative services (autonomous vehicles, advanced collaborative robotics, portable medical devices, teleoperation of equipment, etc.) require stable low latency connectivity to function at their best. Too many latency variations can quickly make equipment unusable, inefficient and impact production quality. To ensure safety and business continuity, new Premium 5G plans with latency SLA are required. This project is to implement the ecosystem of tools & processes to support these new plans (e.g. provisioning, monitoring, charging, etc.)
It is a step forward in the monitization of 5G characteristics needed by time-sensitive applications. CSPs have invested a lot in 5G with limited or no new offers to support new B2B innovations requiring a "better" network. As mentioned above, many innovations and verticals will required specific connectitivy SLA to fiunction at their best hence a demand for these new plans. However, implementing such plans is difficult and required new efficient processes (provisionning, APIs, slices, etc.) and tools (real-time monitoring and alerting). These SLA can be offered with conditions and controls which is the scope of the project aiming to defining the minimum vital items required for these new plans.
By end-to-end testing of the business flows to acquire, use and dispose of the new Premium plans for selected use cases (connected autonomous car/robotaxi, Teleoperation of remote vehicule, collaborative robotics in public spaces).
