Introduction
In 2024, 13 Catalyst teams & 2 Innovation Pioneer Projects co-created solutions to industry challenges faced by communications service providers and their technology partners. These projects were showcased at our Innovate Asia 24 event in Bangkok on 5-7 November, 2024.
At the event we awarded two sets of Catalyst Awards: the Open Innovation Catalyst Awards and the Moonshot Catalyst Awards.
We also recognized our Innovation Pioneer projects for their valuable contribution & collaboration with TM Forum towards groundbreaking innovation in the domains of ODA & Autonomous Networks.
I got an opportunity to judge five Open Innovation Catalyst projects at DTW24 - Ignite and it was a great learning experience as teams had put in a lot of effort & showcased groundbreaking innovation.

All Catalysts submit an Awards submission form to become eligible for the awards, indicating the respective category(ies) their teams will compete for and providing proof points. Submissions for the Innovate Asia 24 Catalyst Awards closed on 18th October, 2024.
Subsequently, a judging panel of exceptional industry experts and executives from global Member organizations were allocated 4-5 teams to review based on their pre-read material (Teams’ submission forms & webpages) and they gathered together at Innovate Asia 24 to review and judge the Catalyst projects.
Winners & Finalists were announced during the prestigious Innovation Awards Ceremony on 7th November at Innovate Asia 24 event.

They assess each project against specific judging criteria, which include innovation, business impact, and sustainability.
