Chris White

Chris L. White is Vice President of Verizon's CIO Business team, responsible for the platforms and systems supporting Global Customer Operations, Public Sector, Wholesale and Billing. In his role, he is responsible for transforming the digital and assisted service experience, eliminating unnecessary work volumes for agents, and infusing AI in every customer service touchpoint.

Chris started his career in telecom back 1991 as part of MCI Communications. He has worked in a variety of roles, including sales, ordering, service assurance, customer care and network management. Chris is a visible leader, engaged with his employees to deliver solutions that support Verizon’s strategy to power and empower how people live, work and play.

Chris’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology and a Master's Degree in Liberal Arts. He has completed management programs at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, the Cox School of Business at SMU, the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He has also completed the Innovation and Leadership program through the Division of Continuing Education (DCE) at Harvard University.

Chris supports employees at Verizon by creating a culture of diversity and inclusion, inspiring teams to reach their full potential, and participates in many of the Verizon Employee Resource Groups including VALOR to support the veterans, families and allies who work at Verizon.

Outside of work, Chris is a licensed amateur radio operator (call sign WX7V). Chris volunteers his time as a member of the Dallas Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services, and is an active member of the Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) West Gulf Division in North Texas. Chris was recently promoted to grandfather in 2024. On the weekends, you will find Chris at the lake enjoying time with his family and his two adopted dogs known as “the boys.”
