Equipment represents a specific category of physical objects. This means that it has its own hierarchy of objects. For example, we’ve already identified Cards as a type of Equipment, and differentiated between Equipment and AuxiliaryComponents (which are both subclasses of Hardware).<br/>The M.3100 specification defines Equipment as a class of managed objects that represents physical components of a managed element, including replaceable components. An instance of this object class is present in a single geographic location. Equipment may be nested within another Equipment, thereby creating a containment relationship. Equipment, and other sibling classes, are shown in the Figure below.<br/><br/>
