CharacteristicValue instances are used for assigning values to:

  • A=1
  • B=2
  • C is not assigned a value.

Alternatively if the attributes A, B, and C are explicitly modeled as attributes of a Resource then an instance of the Resource can serve as a ResourceConfigSpec to assign values to A, B, and C for any other Resource that contains these attributes.  Figure CI.03 - MTOSI TMD Profile Mechanism - Configuration with No Specification Using Resource shows an instance of a Resource used in this way.
