<font color="#29313b"><b>Example 2 – A Cable Route</b></font><br/><font color="#29313b">This is a simple example showing how Network Elements should be separated from their geographic attributes. </font><br/><font color="#29313b">Route sections are defined with geographic attributes and can be shared by any Resources on that route.</font><br/><font color="#29313b">Routes are defined as an ordered collection of route sections. As defined here, routes have no geographical attributes of their own. </font><br/><font color="#29313b">Cables are associated to the Route. In this example our copper cable takes route AB1.</font><br/><font color="#29313b">Note that other cables (not shown) may share a route.</font><br/>
